Educational purposes only. Credit Wolf is not financial, credit, legal, tax or business advice, and no result is guaranteed. You can always dispute inaccurate information yourself, for free.

01Educational purposes only

Credit Wolf is for general educational and informational purposes only. It does not provide, and nothing on it is, financial, investment, credit, credit-repair, legal, tax, accounting or business advice.

Courses, calculators (including the Producer Lab), readiness indexes, product-fit explanations, letter templates and every other tool are illustrations to help you learn and organize. They may not fit your circumstances. Always consult a qualified, licensed professional before acting. Any action you take based on the Platform is at your own risk.

02No guarantee of results

No score improvement, deletion, correction, approval, interest rate, funding amount or business outcome is promised or guaranteed. Credit bureaus, data furnishers and lenders decide independently. Information that is accurate, timely and verifiable can lawfully stay on a credit report. Examples, scenarios and past results are not predictions.

03Credit scores, FICO® Scores and VantageScore®

"Credit score" is a general term. There are many scoring models and versions, and each bureau holds different data, so you have many different scores at the same time. A FICO® Score is made by Fair Isaac Corporation and is the type most lenders use. A VantageScore® is made jointly by the three nationwide bureaus and is what many free apps show. They usually produce different numbers.

Every score on the Platform is labeled with its model, version, source and date. No score shown here is necessarily the score a lender will use. FICO is a registered trademark of Fair Isaac Corporation; VantageScore is a registered trademark of VantageScore Solutions, LLC. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by either.

04Credit Karma snapshots

A Credit Karma snapshot is a quick look at what may be reported, not a credit report. Credit Karma shows VantageScore 3.0 scores and data from TransUnion and Equifax only; it is not a FICO Score and does not include Experian. Lenders may see different scores and information. Get your complete reports from all three bureaus, free, at AnnualCreditReport.com, the only website authorized by federal law for free annual credit reports.

Credit Wolf is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to Credit Karma, and never asks for your Credit Karma password. Snapshot numbers are typed in or uploaded by users and may contain errors.

05Get your full credit reports

Federal law gives you the right to free credit reports from Equifax, Experian and TransUnion. The only official website is AnnualCreditReport.com, or call 1-877-322-8228. Review your full reports from all three bureaus before making decisions; a snapshot or a single score is not enough.

06Your rights as a consumer

You have the right to dispute inaccurate or incomplete information in your credit file directly with the credit bureaus and with the businesses that report it, yourself, at no cost. You do not need to hire anyone to do this. Neither you nor any credit repair company has the right to have accurate, current and verifiable information removed from your credit report.

If you hire a credit repair company, the federal Credit Repair Organizations Act gives you rights, including a written contract, a three-business-day right to cancel, and protection from paying before services are fully performed. Your Agency, not Credit Wolf, is the company providing those services and is responsible for these obligations. Learn more from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau at consumerfinance.gov and the Federal Trade Commission at consumer.ftc.gov.

07Identity theft

Identity theft tools are only for accounts opened or used without your permission. Making a false identity theft claim or filing a false report can carry serious legal penalties, and will result in termination of your account. Report identity theft to the FTC at IdentityTheft.gov.

08Funding and financial products

Product information and "fit" explanations are educational, may be out of date, and are not offers, pre-approvals or recommendations. Terms are set by each provider. We may not review every product available, and borrowing involves risk, including loss of collateral and damage to your credit.

09Agencies are independent

Agencies using Credit Wolf are independent businesses. We do not supervise, endorse or guarantee any Agency, and are not responsible for their advice, services, fees, advertising or legal compliance. See the Terms of Service.

10Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Credit Wolf and its makers are not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of, or reliance on, the Platform or its content. The full limitation of liability, warranty disclaimer, indemnity and arbitration terms are in our Terms of Service.
